Song of the Moment

I don't know about you, but I'm a pretty big Coldplay fan. I think it would be an understatement to say that I like their music... Today I had to get up really early and to make matters worse, it has been one of those days where everything feels like it's wrong. But then I heard Viva La Vida by Coldplay (quite possibly my favorite song of all time) and it felt like everything was going to be okay.

Song of the Moment

I didn't think I could love music anymore than I already do, but that is precisely what happened when I listened to "Don't Throw Me Away," the newest album by an AMAZING band called The Mumlers.

Their sound is a fun combination of 'Louis Armstrong-esque' jazz and blues and Indie rock, with a feel of marching band thrown in the mix. Honestly....I'm not really sure how to describe it. All I can say is, it's pretty awesome.

I'm not sure who this guy is, but the pic was featured on The Mumler's MySpace page....

Odd? Probably.

Super fun? Almost definitely.

Seriously people: Check this band out! The Mumlers.

Song of the Moment

My newest SOM (song of the moment) is I Gotta Feelin' by Black Eyed Peas. I can't stop listening to it, over and over and over again, and it never gets old. AND it's such a great workout song. This morning I cranked it up and did some freestyle dancing around the living room and truely felt like I had just gotten back from an intense workout and the gym. Ch-ch-ch-check it out!

Okay, this isn't so much a SOM (song of the moment) as it is an band of the moment....I can't stop listening to the White Stripes!!!! I watched that episode of The Simpsons where Bart learns to play drums to let out aggression (and then runs into the White Stripes while drumming down the street) and got hooked. If you've never heard the albums Elephant or Icky Thump by the White Stripes, you should definitely check them out.
